Welcome, indeed! This website was launched in November of 2010, and replaces my original website, www.ericstride.com. However, anyone logging on to the old website will be redirected to this new one. Why do that, you ask? Why pay the extra money for a domain name that isn’t being used? Well, Eric Stride is my man, and I don’t want anyone else using the name. I know there are “other” Eric Strides out there; a simple Google search turned up quite a few.

This new website was launched to coincide with the anticipated publication of my third Inspector Stride Mystery – Death Of A Lesser Man. The long process of writing, rewriting, editing, cover design, and all the rest, is now done.  The long delay between this new book, and the second book in the series, The Rossiter File, was occasioned by a change in publishers. My new publisher is Boulder Publications of Portugal Cove-St. Philips, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Death Of A Lesser Man, the third book in the Inspector Stride series, was released on May 15. The Ottawa Launch took place on May 18th at (the now defunct) Collected Works Bookstore, 1242 Wellington Street West. I swear upon all that is “sacred” that my book launch was not the cause of the bookstore’s demise. And I will add that the loss of yet another independent bookstore in Ottawa is a sad event.

Since my last post on this site – quite some time ago – my second Inspector Stride novel, The Rossiter File, has been re-released by Boulder Publications; the new edition has been re-edited and reads much better, although the story remains the same.
